Yenagoa 나이지리아 통신기술부 장관 ‘mobola Johnson’박사는 어제

나이지리아의 전화 가입자가 1억 2100만 명을 넘으며 인구 100명당 전화 밀도가 2010년 9590만 명,

2011년 1억 1476만 명을 넘어 86.62%까지 증가했다고 밝혔다.

 

Johnson은 Bayelsa주의 Yenago에서 개최된 에 관한 세 번째 정기 통신기술협의회에서,

​나이지리아는 정보통신기술 분야에서 주목할 만한 발전을 이뤄냈으며 아프리카의 가장 큰 인터넷 시장이라고 말했다.

 

그는 “전화 가입자가 1억 2100만 명을 넘으며 나이지리아인구 100명당 전화 밀도가 2010년 9590만, 2011년 1억 1476만 명을 넘어 86.62%까지 증가했습니다.”라고 말했으며 국제전기통신연합(ITU)의 말을 인용해, 2011년 말 인터넷 사용자 수가 4500만 명에서 2012년 6월 4840만 명으로 늘어났다고 전했다.

 

“나이지리아는 2012년 28%의 인터넷 보급률을 보였으며 인터넷 사용자 수는 아프리카 전체의 29%를 차지했습니다.

​이는 나이지리아가 아프리카에서 가장 큰 인터넷 시장이라는 사실을 뒷받침합니다.

전자정부국가연합의 최근 순위에 따른 나이지리아 정부의 정보통신기술은

전보다 21계단 상승한 141위를 기록했으며 참여 점수는 22점 상승했습니다.”

Africa: Nigeria, Largest Internet Market in Africa

​Yenagoa--The Minister of Communication Technology, Dr. Omobola Johnson, yesterday noted that with over 121 million active subscribers, the country's tele-density has increased to 86.62 percent as against 114.76 million in 2011 and 95.9 million in 2010.

 

Johnson, who spoke in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, during the third regular meeting of the National Council on Communication Technology, said the country had made appreciable progress in the ICT sector and was the largest internet market in Africa.

 

She said: "With over 121 million active subscribers, the country's tele-density has increased to 86.62 percent up from 114.76 million in 2011 and 95.9 million in 2010."

 

Citing the International Telecommunications Union, ITU, she said as at June 2012, Nigeria was home to 48.4 million internet users up from 45 million at the end of 2011.

 

"The 2012 figure represents 28 percent internet penetration and 29 percent of total internet users in Africa, making Nigeria the largest internet market in Africa.

 

"On ICT in government, in recent ranking of countries in the United Nations e-government index, Nigeria moved up 21 places to number 141 and improved her partici-pation cores by 22 points."
